
CNL Brass won the Hunter Regional Band Association’s Formal Graded Section for C and D Grade Brass Bands (in which a Hymn and an Own Choice Item are presented for adjudication) held on 13 June 2010.
It also contested the afternoon Festival of the Bands Entertainment Section (Division 2 for C and D Grade Brass and Concert Bands), winning this section also.
The following photographs that were taken at the presentation of Awards at the Hunter Regional Band Association’s Brass and Concert Band Championshiops held at Newcastle City Hall on Sunday 13 June.
The weekend Festival is divided into two components – The East Coast Championship and the entertainment Festival of Bands.

The East Coast Championship
The Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Councillor John Tate with CNL Brass Musical Director Ron Boaden, after presenting Ron with the First Place Trophy for Section 2 Brass, the Formal Session of the Contest for C and D Grade Brass Bands, called the East Coast Championship. Each band presents a Sacred Item and an Own Choice Item.

The Festival of Bands
