Anzac Day March, Service and Concert: Belmont
CNL Brass led the traditional March, which commenced at 9.30am and finished at the War Memorial in the Belmont Shopping Centre. Belmont RSL Sub-Branch conducted the Service, which was a repetition of the Pelican Flat Service. The Sub-Branch was delighted with the very large crowd that attended the Service.
Belmont Bowling Club was the venue for the annual concert after the Service. CNL Brass presented a variety concert which included a few “wartime” favourites. The audience was most appreciative of the band’s performance, being particularly responsive to the number “Il Silenzio”. This number is an annual request. It featured Clarence Leung on cornet, with the backing of the band.
