CNL Brass was one of five bands to compete in Open B Grade Brass. All bands played the set test Connotations and also presented two other items, a Hymn and an Own Choice for adjudication. The band, in its first Open B Grade Contest, chose the Hymn Dear Lord and Father and Resurgam. The band was unplaced, but remains undaunted and will accept the challenge again in 2013.
