Bands in the Park: Sunday 9 November 2014


KING EDWARD PARK, NEWCASTLE

This free day of community entertainment, organised annually by the Hunter Regional Band Association, was held in bright sunshine in the delightful setting of the King Edward Park Band Rotunda, The day provided the opportunity for seven bands to present varied programs. The entertainment commenced at11.30am and concluded at 4.45pm.

CNL Brass entertain at Bands in the Park

CNL Brass presented six numbers in its time slot, opening with the march The Standard of St. George and concluding with the theme from the 1978 film Children of Sanchez. The arrangement for Children of Sanchez featured a flugel horn solo, which was played by our guest Noelene McCrane, a member of Tamworth RSL Brass Band.

Members of the Community were responsive in their applause for not only CNL Brass, but for all bands performing on the day.
