CNL Brass provided “music on the march” as the band participated in the Grand Parade at the Wallsend Winter Carnivale. Colonel Bogey was the chosen march. The parade route along Nelson Street was crowded with spectators, who were generous in their applause.
The Carnivale is in its 30th year. CNL Brass led the first Grand Parade in 1985 and has marched in each Parade since then. Allan Shaw, the drum major of the band for the first Parade, led the band again this year.
