ANZAC Day 2022

Dawn Service: CNL Brass supported Pelican Flat RSL Sub Branch by providing the music for the Dawn Service. The Last Post and Reveille were played by principal cornet Bruce Fletcher. One Hymn was included in the Service, namely, The Recessional. The New Zealand and Australian Anthems concluded the Service.  CNL Brass has been supporting this Dawn Service since 1974 and it was indeed pleasing to return to the full ANZAC Day Service after two years, particularly with a large crowd in attendance.

Morning Service: CNL Brass supported the Stockton RSL Sub Branch Service, which commenced at 9am, Again, a large crowd was in attendance, The Service included the Hymn Abide With Me and, as no Piper was available to play The Lament, the Band played Lead Kindly Light as floral tributes were laid. The Service concluded with the New Zealand and Australian Anthems. The Sub Branch arranged for a flyover by a vintage Wirraway during the Service. That was impressive.  Two players from Parramatta City Band, Steven and Theo played with the band for both Services. Their support was greatly appreciated.
